Mikaela Fischer's Fundraiser
Together, we can raise awareness and provide mental health resources for those in need.
Please join me (and Hector) in giving to make a difference.
$910 towards $1,800
September is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness month. Join me this year by supporting my "Miles with Mik" campaign for the Lost&Found Organization.
This year, I am training for a virtual half marathon that will take place in November. During my training, I will run 300 miles (give or take a tempo run here and there). My furry companion, Hector, will join me during my training as he is an avid runner and very passionate about mental health. We are asking for $1/"leg of our race."
- Math is hard sometimes, so to be clear, I have 2 legs and Hector has 4 (totally 6 legs running 300 miles).
Our goal is to raise $1,800 during the months of September and October (as I cannot run 300 miles in 30 days, Hector probably could). Along my journey, I will further the conversation about suicide and the importance of raising awareness.
Please join me in making a difference for millions of individuals who are impacted by suicide each day. My family has experienced firsthand the effects of suicide and I hope to raise funds and awareness surrounding suicide and mental health. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
If you are unable to make a financial contribution, please consider sharing my page with others who might be interested. I will share updates on my fundraising efforts and most importantly, pictures of Hector, on my social media handles listed below.

More about the Lost&Found: The L&F supports mental health initiatives for young adults and raises awareness about the presence of suicide in our communities. The L&F is based in Sioux Falls, SD and facilitates proactive, data-driven, public health approaches to suicide prevention for young adults ages 14-35. The L&F reaches nearly 25,000 young adults with mental health resources and programs, starting with college campuses in SD, MN, ND, IA, and NE. Want to learn more about their programs?
